Configuring application management options

Administrators use the Application Management function to specify system settings such as the system run mode, application e-mail address, web address prefix, the system sender e-mail address, the application default time zone and other options.

Application Management page contents

The Application Management page contains these fields:

Current Run Mode. The following options are available:

  • Normal. In this mode, the system can be accessed by all users.

  • Locked. Administrators can enable Locked mode to limit access so that troubleshooting or other tasks can be performed. Only the Administrator role can access the application when it is in Locked mode.

  • License Locked. The application enters License Locked mode if the UKG GovTA license is not valid. Only the Administrator role can access the application when it is in License Locked mode. To return the application to Normal mode, the Administrator must import a valid UKG GovTA license. For more about licenses, refer to Managing license files.

Application E-mail Address. The application e-mail address displays in the From section of e-mails generated by the system. For example, a Supervisor may receive a message about timesheet certification from govta@UKG.com. In this example, govta@UKG.com is the application e-mail address.

Never Use Personal Addresses for the From Field. If the check box is enabled, the system uses the application e-mail address instead of the personal address of the sender (for example, the Timekeeper or Supervisor.) This ensures that the sender's e-mail address is not used.

Web Address Prefix. Identifies the prefix of the external URL path name, for example, https://www.abcd.org/govta. The Web Address Prefix must match the browser URL. Whenever a URL link displays in a UKG GovTA notification, the URL is based on what is specified in this field.

  • IMPORTANT! If the Forgot Password functionality is implemented, enter a valid address in this field so that the e-mail contains the correct password reset link.

Application Default Time Zone. Identifies the default time zone on which the application should base all time calculation, for example, Eastern Standard Time.

To update options on the Application Management page, take these steps:

  1. Click System Set Up > Application Management on the main menu. The Application Management page opens.

  2. Make changes.

  3. Click Save. A success message displays.
