About invalid licenses
Term licenses are valid between the Effective Date and the Expiration Date. The license is effective at 12:00 AM. The license expires at 11:59:59 PM.
About the UKG GovTA license and License Locked mode
In a single agency implementation, the system enters License Locked mode when the UKG GovTA license Expiration Date occurs. If this happens, the system displays a message on the Log In page such as: "The application is locked because there is no active UKG GovTA license." Only Administrators are allowed to log in when the application is in License Locked Mode. To return to Normal Mode, the Administrator must import a valid UKG GovTA license. Users remain locked out of the system until the Administrator takes action.
In a multi-agency implementation, the system enters License Locked mode when the UKG GovTA license with the latest projected Expiration Date occurs. This means that one or more UKG GovTA licenses may reach the Expiration Date without any impact, no matter how many seats are associated with the licenses, who the owner is, or what the grace period is. In a multi-agency implementation, License Locked mode only takes place when the UKG GovTA license with the latest projected Expiration Date occurs. Only Administrators are allowed to log in when the application is in License Locked Mode. To return to Normal Mode, the Administrator must import a valid UKG GovTA license. Users remain locked out of the system until the Administrator takes action.
For details about different run modes, refer to Configuring application management options. For procedures about importing licenses, refer to Managing license files.
About expired license modules
If licenses for other modules such as Projects, Minutes, APIs, Reports, or Web Services expire, notifications will be sent but otherwise, there is no effect on the system.
