Overview of the Home page

The Home page displays when you log in to the system. It serves as a central place for viewing information, performing tasks, and making selections from the main menu. The layout of the Home page includes three main areas: the sidebar on the left side of the page displays the Main Menu; the header bar contains the page name and several icons; and the dashboard is the main area in the center of the page.

Each area of the Home page is described in more detail below.

Main Menu. The Main Menu is located in a sidebar on the left side of the page. Your first and last name display near the top of the Main Menu, followed by the Log Out link. If you have more than one role, the Switch Role drop-down list displays. Click the drop-down list to select a different role. For example, select Timekeeper to change from your current role to the Timekeeper role. The main menu options that are relevant to the selected role display below the drop-down list.

Header Bar Icons. Several icons display in the header area of the Home page:

• The Main Menu icon is located in the upper left corner of the Home page. The icon is made up of three lines stacked on top of each other. Click the icon to show or hide the sidebar.

• The Notifications icon is located in the upper right corner of the Home page. The icon is in the shape of a bell and, if notifications are available, the number of notifications displays to the left of the icon. Click the icon to open the Inbox.

• The Tiles icon is located in the upper right corner of the Home page. The icon is made up of four small squares arranged with two squares on top and two squares on bottom. Click the icon to open the Tiles panel.

• The Settings icon is located in the upper right corner of the Home page. The icon is an outline of a person's head and shoulders. Click the icon to open your employee profile Settings page.

• The Online Help icon is located in the upper right corner of the Home page. The icon is a question mark enclosed in a circle. Click the icon to open online help in a new browser window.

• The Home icon is located next to the Main Menu icon. The icon is the outline of a house. Click the icon to return to the Home page from wherever you are in the system.

Tiles. The dashboard area of the Home page may display one or more tiles. Tiles provide a quick way to view or work with important information without making selections from the main menu. Each role is associated with a set of tiles. If you switch to a different role, the dashboard refreshes and displays the tiles for that role.
