Selecting and removing tiles
As discussed in Overview of the Home page, tiles provide a quick way to view information or perform common tasks without making selections from the main menu. When you initially log in to the system as a new user, a default set of tiles displays in the dashboard area of the Home page. You can select or remove tiles from the dashboard by using the Tiles panel.
Note: Tiles vary by role. You may need to switch roles so that you're working with the correct set of tiles.
How to switch roles

Click the Switch Role drop-down list from the Main Menu. If the Main Menu sidebar is not displayed, click the Main Menu icon from the header bar.

Select the role. The Home page refreshes.
How to select or remove tiles from the dashboard

Click the Tiles icon on the header bar. The Tiles panel opens.

To include a tile on the dashboard, click the check box next to the tile name.

To remove a tile from the dashboard, clear the check box next to the tile name.

Click Save to apply changes or click Cancel to dismiss changes. The panel closes and the dashboard refreshes.
Tile user guidelines
Most tiles are so easy to use, you won't need procedures or explanations. Here are some general user guidelines.

Full feature icon. The full feature icon is located in the lower right corner of some tiles. The icon is an arrow with a circle around it. Click the full feature icon when you need additional information or access to more functionality that what's available in the tile. The full feature icon takes you to the application page of whatever function you are using.

Asterisk. If a field includes a red asterisk next to the field name, the field is required. You cannot complete the action until the data is properly entered.

Record return carat. The record return carat is located in the upper right corner of some tiles. Click to expand the carat and display a drop-down list with options that identify how many records to display. This is useful for roles such as Timekeepers and Supervisors, who may need to work with large numbers of requests, timesheets, or employees.
Arranging tiles on the dashboard
You can drag and drop tiles to different locations on the dashboard. The drag tile icon is available in the upper left corner of all tiles. Click the drag tile icon and move the tile to a different location on the Home page, then release the cursor when the tile is placed where you want it.
Alternatively, use these keyboard commands to move a tile to a different position using the single click feature:

Press Tab to move focus to the drag tile icon, then press Enter or the space bar to activate the single click feature. To move the tile to the left and up, press the Left arrow key. To move the tile to the right and down, press the Right arrow key. To exit the feature, press the ESC key.
